History: The mimic aliens were no strangers to the planet Earth. For some time, they had been watching the Earth. They saw the hatred that humanity spewed and the violence it committed. However, they always maintained their distance from civilization. That is, until their ship had a violent collision with a runaway meteor. Backed into a corner, the saucer was forced to land on Earth. Flying over Los Angeles and frightening a few hundred-thousand people attracted some unwanted attention from the United States Government. The aliens were not only forced to land in the Pacific Ocean, but they were also forced to defend themselves from the U.S.S Madison. Using their advance technology, their UFO was able to create a powerful whirlpool that tore the submarine to pieces.
With one sub destroyed, the U.S. enlisted the help of the Seaview. Nelson and Crane thought they were going to investigate the saucer. However, a government appointed Navy Admiral was placed onboard the vessel with the orders to seek out the craft and destroy it on site. In fact, this is what they were about to do when all of a sudden a blinding white light began to emit from the surface of the UFO. The light, called by the Aliens as the Ion Ray, disabled all the electronics in the Seaview. In seconds, the most powerful machine on Earth was sinking.
The aliens, being somewhat peaceful, deployed a smaller UFO to the sub, its purpose to bring one member of the crew to the Mothership. That member just so happened to be Admiral Nelson. When he arrived on the ship, he was astonished to be greeted by a being that looked exactly as him. The Mimic Alien informed him that he only took the form of the Admiral’s likeness so as not to frighten and offend the man. He explained the troubles of his ship and agreed to bring the submarine up to one-hundred feet so that they could use their “Snorkle”, to get air into the sub. Unfortunately, soon after this extending olive branch, the United States military attacked with jet fighters. The resulting battle damaged the UFO even further, as well as angered the extraterrestrials.
Even with the ignorance of his government, Admiral Nelson was able to talk down the alien. Figuring that the aliens’ ship was nuclear powered, Nelson proposes that the Strontium 90 pellets that were on the Seaview would contain enough power to get the ship out of Earth’s orbit. That way, they would be able to regroup with their other ship and prevent them from turning Earth into a dead cinder in space. The aliens agreed with the mortal man and used his plan to return them to the stars. They have not returned since. And if they so ever chose to come back, it is hoped that they will remember the kindness that they were shown by the brave Admiral Nelson.
