History: It came from nowhere, making a cozy home for itself under the beautiful sands of Venice Beach, California. People began to go missing, but nobody believed anything was out of the normal. It was a known fact, sometimes people drowned and bodies weren’t recovered. However, when a young girl was buried in the sand by her friends, her legs were horribly mutilated by something in the beach. Realizing that whatever they were after wasn’t human, the authorities began to dig through the beach, but couldn’t uncover the horror that lurked.
The very next night, the subterranean creature attacked and maimed a rapist, indicating that it was still within the confines of the beach somewhere. Not even renowned scientists could give a clear explanation as to what they were dealing with, but its lair was soon discovered in the basement of a burned down building. It had been stashing the remains of its prey there, thus a trap was set for its return. Tremendous amounts of explosives were planted in the dark and hidden cameras would tell the above police forces of its arrival, and dubbing the former paradise with a new name: Blood Beach.
However, one scientist believed the beast could very well hold the power of regeneration. His warnings, unfortunately, fell on deaf ears. When it returned to its hidden lair, the explosives were detonated! A tremendous series of explosions engulfed the strange predator, blowing its body to countless bits. However, as the smoke and dust cleared, the nightmare was destined to start anew. Each piece began to regenerate, rapidly growing into a new species that would overrun the entire beach and, possibly, the entire world.
