History: In 2032, as mankind began to probe the farthest reaches of space, an expedition on Mars discovered a strange alien artifact. In the following days, all contact with the two groups would be lost, forcing the crew of SC-37 to investigate and find what had happened. After their main ship was destroyed, the crew was forced to try and make it back to Earth with minimum food, water, and power until they reach an emergency outpost. It was here that the terror from beyond the stars would make its move.
It grew larger and larger until finally growing several tentacles. It quickly killed the crew’s engineer, and after finding the body, it became clear that a killer was indeed on the ship, and while trying to seal the doors, the creature gained yet another kill before confronting Cal. The man tried to escape, but the beast’s long, thorn covered tentacles wrapped around his legs and like it did the many before him, drained him of all life.
Only two humans were left to face the fiend, Roger and Adrian, they struggled to survive against the murderous alien. Once a rescue ship finally found the shuttle, the alien knocked out communications and also took control of the ship, gliding it in patterns that showed the other ship they were alright. Not long after, however, as a shower of meteors headed straight for the ship, the creature instilled a force field around the craft. The meteors bounced off the protective barrier, but it was also now known that it was drawing all its power and intelligence from a strange crystal that was somewhere onboard the ship.
As the hours passed, the alien began to read and gain more intelligence. The two remaining humans and it, now calling itself Gar, explained the reasons for killing: self-defense. It forged a sort of friendship with the pair, despite killing their friends, and helped them get back on course and survive. The other two looked on from their own ship, watching on as Gar left the shuttle in another, and headed back to wherever his species originally originated from.
