History: Half lion and half eagle, the Gryphon was created by the vile sorcerer Armand to save the kingdom of Lockland from an attacking force. As it plucked heads off with its mighty claws, Armand soon realized that whatever damage the creature took, he shared in it before the wound regenerated. Returning from the battle, the creature attacked its own people under the sorcerer’s spell. With bodies sprawled across the ground, the creature flew away with its master safely on its back. The attack on both sides caused a loose alliance to form, but no matter what they did, the Gryphon refused to die.
While searching for the Draconian Pike, the only weapon that could possibly kill the beast, the legendary creature again swooped down for the attack. While the princess and her guards fought against a statue that came to life, the soldiers outside busied themselves with the winged monster. Unleashing the explosive dragon’s breath chemical on the monster, it severely burned Armand’s face, but still it refused to retreat. Once they managed to escape the living statue, another blast of dragon’s breath was launched at the Gryphon. Engulfed in a colossal explosion, the winged nightmare went airborne once again.
Soon, Armand’s beautiful servants seduced one of the weaker members of the party and stole the first piece of the pike. Now with the weapon in his hands, victory for the mad sorcerer seemed assured. The armies of both kingdoms joined forces and began their march on Armand’s castle. Possessing the second half of the weapon, the princess almost retrieved the lost piece, but both the creature and sorcerer interfered. As the Gryphon attacked the armies, the pike was pieced together by Armand. However, in the struggle, the pike was retrieved from the hands of Armand and driven into the Gryphon’s body, putting an end to both the monster’s and sorcerer’s madness. In their death, the kingdoms of the land had once again been united.
