Shrouded in mystery and legend by the fabled Calusa Native Americans, the beasts were said to be the guardians of the gates of hell and the fountain of youth! When a research team went too deep into the everglades, the creatures made short work of the group, prompting a second team to be dispatched.
Traveling into the uncharted regions of the everglades, the group was silently stalked by the creatures. The creatures slowly made their move, killing members of the group when they became isolated from the rest. The team made base camp and positioned motion detectors around the site, but the creatures still managed to infiltrate, slaughtering more of the invading humans.
With one of their own infected with the poison of the beasts, the group sought rescue by the Indians. As the team fled, the beasts attacked. They slaughtered many of the group before the Indians interfered, saving the man with the fabled water of the fountain. The Calusa helped them escape, leaving only three survivors of the attacks. Their vow of silence was broken, however, by the team’s photographer. Now a new team headed into the bowels of the everglades to find and secure samples of the creature’s poison and the mythical water.
