Home World: Earth
Origin: South Sea (Sector 7)
Type: Natural
History: While drilling for oil within the South Sea’s sector 7 in the 1980’s, South Korean workers discovered something extraordinary: a totally new form of life that could be harnessed as a unique form of fuel! Able to burn for more than thirty hours, the tiny creatures promised a new era for the country. However, a school of the creatures caused a disastrous event the ceased all drilling and research for thirty years. In 2011, the drilling rigs were reopened and one of the tiny organisms was bred to adulthood in secrecy. Unknown to the rest of the team, as smaller specimens continued to be discovered in the water and the sediment brought up by the drilling, two scientists allowed one to reach full maturity until it broke free of its constraints!
Now running amok, the beast began to feed on anyone that crossed its path. However, while corning its victims, its flesh was pierced and spilled blood ignited by a lighter. Now set aflame, the beast continued to chase down its quarry and nearly succeeded in killing the rest. However, they managed to escape back to the lab that held the captured, tiny versions of it. After they were told of the beast’s origins and weakness, the creature attacked again! It tossed the head scientist away and gave chase after the others.
Continuing to slaughter its prey, the monster was drawn up to the top portion of the rig and attacked its creator. However, the man set fire to both himself and his creation! They fell from the side of the rig and into the water bellow, extinguishing its burning body. However, the damage had been done. Its body was now horribly burned and it was even more enraged than before. After it killed her boyfriend, the monster turned its sight on the last survivor: Hae-jun. She climbed onto her motorcycle and lured the monster into a trap, but the crashing pipes did little more than make it even angrier. The two fell dozens of feet to the bottom of the rig, but she managed to outsmart it. As the beast approached, she dropped the drill onto its head! However, it refused to die. It lashed out with its tongue and tried dragging her back. As she kicked and struggled, the lone survivor regained the controls of the drill and turned it on! Releasing her and screaming in agony, the monster was drilled to death.
