History: A species long lost since the coniferous age of insects, they retreated underground and their civilization began. They existed for countless centuries in secrecy until a small band of scientists vanished into the darkness of Earth’s crust. They uncovered the advanced race and fell victim to them. The insect-like parasites realized the chaotic nature of the humans above and sought to take control and claim the surface and everything on it for themselves. A five-story-tall, cylinder-shaped vessel appeared outside a small town and the parasites spread like wildfire, taking over the minds and bodies of hundreds.
In no time at all, the town of Riverdale was isolated from the rest of the world as the insects targeted those who threatened their conquest the most. However, the tiny parasites greatly underestimated the power of the human will. Their vessel was impenetrable, but it was made of metal. Thus, a power line was dropped on the cone-shaped object! Countless volts of electricity raced through it, electrocuting the deadly parasites. Those that remained outside of the vessel and still in possession of a human host would be ruthlessly hunted down and exterminated.
