History: Creeping about the black ocean depths near the city of Tana, a sea monster thrived. It was a huge octopus that was genetically modified by the brilliant scientist, Lars Mattson. Along with its size, the cephalopod now had an even bigger appetite. Leaving the confines of its cave, the octopus swam out to the open ocean and attacked a boat of fishermen. He devoured two of them, leaving only a single survivor of the tragedy.
Days passed before the monster would once again be on the move. Shortly after feeding his pet some sharks, Lars found himself in the middle of a coup by Admiral Nelson. However, in the struggle, Lars’ wife shot him. Bleeding out, the mad scientist fell into the tank with his monster. In seconds, he too met the fate that the other poor fishermen had met only a handful of days ago. The Giant Octopus was not done though. Sensing the Seaview close by, the predator swam out to meet it’s opponent. Latching onto the forward peak of the submarine, the monster sought to tear asunder his meal. The Seaview was not as defenseless as the mollusk thought, however. Bringing their reactors up to full, Captain Crane sent several powerful charges of electricity across his ships bow. The raw power that tore through its gigantic body wasn’t just enough to shake it free, but also kill it.
