History: The three Kamaitachi siblings lived peacefully in the forest for over 400 years. The three would work together to playfully attack people, with Raishin knocking them down, Juro cutting them, and Kagari applying medicine to the wound. All of this would happen so fast the human wouldn’t even realize they’d been attacked and would be left with a small, bloodless cut which they had no idea how they got.
But, development was inevitable. The beautiful forest they called home was cut down and a golf course was built there, forcing the siblings to move. While the elder brother Raishin and the younger sister Kagari simply accepted their fate, the middle brother Juro was driven mad by it. Unable to stop him, Raishin and Kagari could only watch on as Juro cut down numerous people.
They two siblings went and found Ushio and asked him to kill their brother for them. At first he refused, but when they told him what happened he realized he had no choice. After bringing Ushio and Tora to the forest where they’d taken up residence after being driven from their original home, Raishin further explained their situation to Ushio while Kagari led Tora away to leave them in peace.
When Juro appeared and mortally wounded Ushio, Raishin convinced Kagari to heal him. Afterward he went with Ushio to find Juro. During the ensuing battle, Raishin and Kagari were caught in a landslide caused by Juro. Just then, the construction workers arrived and saw the monsters and began throwing rocks at them. One of the men dropped a cigarette, igniting a pool of gasoline that had leaked from a truck which was pinning Raishin and Kagari. As the flames spread, the workers started to flee, but Ushio called out for help in lifting wrecked truck. The workers were apprehensive at first, but when one finally went to help, others soon followed. Seeing the sight of humans helping his brother and sister, Juro came to his senses and joined in, freeing them just before the flames reached the truck and caused it to explode.
With everyone safe, Ushio told the siblings he would help them find a new home where they wouldn’t be bothered by humans. However, Juro felt he was undeserving of such a home after the horrible things he’d done. He rushed forward, impaling himself on the Beast Spear and ending his life. After the death of their brother, it’s unknown exactly what became of Raishin and Kagari, but it can be assumed that they became friends with Ushio and Tora.
