Forced to stop because the wheel of the cart carrying her huge load of belongings broke, she didn’t see the crane carrying several steel support beams directly above her. At that same moment, the hook holding the beams snapped. Seeing what was happening, a young boy named Hiro rushed in and shoved her out of the way at the cost of his own life.
That evening, Hime snuck into the morgue of the local hospital where Hiro’s corpse was being kept. She instilled his body with her Flame of Life and returned to her mansion. Not long after, a werewolf which was a former servant of Hime’s, appeared on the mansion grounds and sent his wolf underlings to attack her. After easily disposing of the wolves, the Monster Princess likewise dispatched the werewolf with her rapier.
From that point on, Hime lived in the mansion, with Hiro as her incompetent soldier and Hiro’s sister, Sawawa, working as the maid. Even though the princess had no interest in the throne, she was still forced to fend off all manner of creatures that came after her, be they sent by one of her siblings as assassins or doing it for their own purposes.
