History: On the night of a lunar eclipse, Hime, Hiro, and Flandre had car trouble and got stuck on the side of the road. Seeing a small town in the valley nearby, they headed toward it in hopes of finding someone there that could help. Along the way, Hime and Hiro got separated from Flandre and were immediately attacked by a huge man wielding a scythe. As they tumbled down the hillside while trying to escape, Hime injured her ankle. Now forced to carry the princess, Hiro continued on to the village. Upon arriving, they found it completely deserted. Sensing something very wrong, they tried to leave, only to be returned to the village. Piecing together the clues available, they figured out that they were trapped in the village’s memories from over forty years ago! Located in a valley, the village was slated to be flooded by the building of a dam. Understandably, there was opposition to this among some of the residents. The leader of the opposition had gone mad and started killing anyone supporting the dam’s construction.
As the eclipse began to wane, the village’s dream-like memory began to come to an end. With the water quickly rising, Hime and Hiro went for the highest ground they could find. Before long, the Paper Bag Man appeared again and attacked them. As Hiro distracted the apparition, Hime drove a pitchfork into the back of his head, “killing” him. The next morning, Hime and Hiro awoke and found themselves lying on the edge of the lake created by the dam.
