History: Millions of years ago, before the dawn of man, the world was run by the insects. As the insects roamed in the world where the smallest insects were the size of a modern day man, one of the insects got caught in the ice of the arctic, and as ages passed, this deadly mantis waited for its awakening. Eons past, but finally, as the ice began to shift, the Giant Mantis was released from its tomb and was now on a hunt.
The insect flew over the arctic, attacking United States military owned planes. With no possible reasons or clues, a Paleontologist was brought in to try and deduce the problem, and at last, after several attacks on planes and radar bases, the creature attacked the main base. Luckily for the humans, a flame thrower managed to drive it off, but the huge creature was now on a sturdy course South.
As it was being tracked, the mantis attacked small fishing boats and trains, but days past, no sign of the mantis could be found to actually give its location, that is until it reached Washington. Anti aircraft weapons on the ground failed to down the monster and after climbing up the side of the Washington Monument, the insect was airborne once again, heading toward New York City where a shot from a fighter plane wounded it.
Limited in flying now, the massive mantis entered one of the city's tunnels, smashing its way through cars and trucks that blocked it. Using smoke and massive curtains, the humans managed to trap it inside. As the monstrous bug moved around, a group of soldiers entered inside with special poison grenades, and upon sighting of the insect, tossed the poisons. The deadly mantis roared its last as its massive body fell to the ground, dead.
