History: An ancient species of massive scorpion, these creatures once walked the Earth, stalking everything that lived. As time went on, the remains of this age old species was trapped beneath the ground, and forced to slumber. In the mid 1950's, a volcanic eruption had opened a fissure above the ground, and the quaking awoken the dormant beasts.
The Giant Scorpions didn't hesitate to leave their underground home, and began to once again, hunt for food. Their first meal was in the form of a small town, ripping it to shreds, and only leaving a baby as a survivor. Their next stop would be some repair men fixing a telephone pole. At last, one of the giant arachnids discovered a small ranch, and quickly began to attack, as others began to assault a near by village. Dozens of people were slaughtered, and not even point blank machine gun fire was enough to down one of the creatures. As dawn came, the creatures retreated back to their underground home.
A team of scientists found the fissure, and eventually went down inside in hopes of killing the scorpions with poison gas. Unfortunately for them, the scorpions out numbered them greatly, and the elevator that took them down was destroyed. The rope from the crane that lowered the elevator remained intact, and the group managed to pull out. Now knowing more about what they are dealing with, the military dynamited the fissure closed. The blast trapped the creatures once more, but three of them managed to escape.
The three that survived, two smaller ones, and an even bigger 'grand daddy', attacked a train. In the feeding frenzy, the huge scorpion attacked the two smaller ones, killing them both in seconds. Hundreds were injured and killed, but the Giant Scorpion's massive appetite wasn't filled, and it headed for the biggest food source in the area: Mexico City.
The black scorpion entered the city, but the military had already devised a plan. To save hundreds, the military used a truck filled with cattle meat, and lured the massive scorpion into the city's football field. The plan worked, and an electric harpoon was prepared to be fired into the monster's weak spot on its throat. Before any clear shots could be spotted, the arachnid demolished tanks and helicopters, and at last, a shot was clear. Unluckily for the scientists, the shot missed, and hit the creature on the side.
The creature continued its wave of destruction against the military forces that opposed it until another shot was fired, and this one hit the mark. Gallons of fluid began to pour from the monster's mouth, and the creature then fell to the ground, dead.
