History: During the 1940's, nuclear tests were conducted in the deepest reaches of the New Mexican desert. Unknowing of the consequences, mankind continued to live and test their deadly weapons as the ants of the area slowly began to enlarge and mutate from the lingering radiation. Overtime, the insects became gigantic, surpassing even mankind on the foodchain, but going unnoticed for the longest time.
The first colony sent out soldier ants that attacked nearby buildings and vehicles in search for food, but when Dr. Harold Medford arrived to help solve the case, the true enemy was discovered. The opening of the massive underground nest was bombed and then poisoned, erradicating dozens of bus-sized ants! When venturing deeper down, their deepest fear was confirmed: several queens had escaped!
One of the queens made a nest onboard a ship at sea, but as panic ensued, the ship and all the ants onboard sunk to the bottom of the ocean. The other ant made a home in the Los Angeles sewer system, quickly forming a new colony underneath the streets. As the months spread, the team finally tracked the sightings and reports back to the sewers and uncovered the deadly nest.
Dozens of soldiers opened fire on the ravenous insects, driving them back to the heart of the sewers. With a flurry of bullets, the huge insects were killed and the newly-hatched queens were soon put down in a fiery inferno, finally putting an end to the horrible nightmare.
