History: In order to find a way to solve world hunger, Professor Gerald Deemer tried to find a way to increase the size of normal animals. When one of his assistants tried the injection on himself, he went mad and attempted to kill the professor. The resulting fight started a fire that killed all of the oversized animals, but the glass aquarium containing the dog-sized tarantula was broken, and without the famous scientist's moderation, the massive arachnid began to grow more and more everyday once it escaped into the wilderness.
As its size grew, so did its hunger. The eight legged killing machine stalked the Arizona desert, feeding on humans and animals alike and leaving a wake of bleach skeletons behind it. As it hunted, it came across the professor's home itself and its own creator couldn't escape his own creation's grasp, and like so many before it, he was eaten alive, but news on the arachnid had spread.
It was following the road straight into town and the local police were powerless to stop it. Bullets couldn't kill it, and as it moved closer, dynamite couldn't stop it. All seemed grim for the silent and peaceful town, but as the Giant Tarantula approached the largest meal it would ever eat, a squadron of fighter planes appeared overhead, answering the plea for help that was sent. Missiles didn't harm it, but when the planes released every container of napalm, the form of the Giant Tarantula went up in flames and smoke.
