Type: Mutant
History: On a remote island in the Pacific Ocean, a handful of brilliant scientists were in the midst of researching the effects radiation had on life. Without reason, the men and women mysteriously vanished. In order to solve the disappearances and continue the work, another group was dispatched. However, upon their arrival, they stumbled into a living hell. The island was rapidly shrinking due to constant earthquakes and tremors! The crab monsters continued to roam the darkness of the caverns beneath the island’s surface and began to lure unsuspecting members of the team to their doom. Replicating the voices of their victims through telepathy, one of the beasts was killed upon its attack. Handguns were unable to penetrate its body, but a falling stalactite killed it.
Gaining a sample of flesh from the fallen crab from its severed claw, they realized what they were up against. Discovering the mutants were extremely vulnerable to electricity, they planned to either kill or catch the remaining female before she could reproduce and spawn an undefeatable army! However, time was quickly running out. The island continued to sink and the crab didn’t help slow it. The plan failed, but they managed to also take one of its claws. Retreating to regenerate, the monster returned the following day. With only a small portion of the island remaining, she cornered the last of the remaining at the radio tower. However, when bullets continued to fail, one of the brave men sacrificed his life to drop the electrified tower onto its body! The electricity surged through the mutant crustacean, instantly killing it and saving the world from an invasion of crab monsters.
