History: In the isolated reaches of the Nevada desert, an ecological disaster quickly unfolded. A prehistoric seed was accidently unleashed, spreading miles worth of huge vines through the landscape. Produced by Dr. Frame Marcos, the scientist had been long at work on reconstructing the fabled Garden of Eden. In today’s polluted and toxic environment, the prehistoric seed was capable of growing indefinitely, swallowing up small towns and entire highways.
When the government intervened and attempted to bomb the expanding roots, the plan was beyond a failure. The roots grew even faster thanks to the smoke and fire, eventually reaching and demolishing Carson City! With the entire world at stake, a small band managed to join forces with Dr. Marcos whom also wished the nightmare to end. By helicopter, they returned to the source of the outbreak and entered the nearby mines where they discovered its taproot. Once injecting a poison that began to kill the plant’s roots, the thing began to regenerate a new.
A bomb was prepared to be detonated and destroy the menace once and for all, but Dr. Marcos pulled a gun on the pair helping him. He didn’t want the taproot destroyed for it could hold the secret to cleansing the earth forever! He had prepared a serum to put the taproot in a sort of hibernation, but in the unfolding struggle, the needle was plunged into his chest! As he fell to the ground, the others rushed away from the bomb that was close to detonating. In the underground labyrinth, a colossal explosion ripped outward and destroyed both the plant and its owner.
The horror was over, but some good did come from Dr. Marcos’ research. Specimens of the same seed were genetically altered and released onto the world, quickly returning life to the lands killed by both man and the huge root system.
