History: Deep within an isolated cave system in India, toxic waste was being illegally dumped. The waste had an adverse affect on local insect life, especially a specimen of centipede. The tiny creature was mutated into a gigantic, man-eating monster! It stalked the dark, slaughtering any intruders to its remote home. When a group of American explorers ventured into the darkness, the vicious insect began to stalk them.
When it attacked its first victim, a cave in sealed the system, trapping the group three miles under the surface! As the group struggled to locate a new exit, the Giant Centipede followed their every move. The multi-legged monstrosity took chase, driving the survivors deeper into its cave. As the beast continued its relentless assault on the Americans, one of the youngsters managed to break it in half with a sharp stalagmite.
As he dove into the water to regroup with the rest, the top half of the insect remained alive. It lifted from the water, striking out at the group. A knife was planted into its exoskeleton and a flare launched into its maw, killing the creature. Just as the survivors made contact with the rescue team outside the cave, the lower half of the centipede attacked. Just as dangerous as before, it killed one of the explorers.
The survivors managed to reach safety, escaping through the dump site where dozens of barrels of waste had started leaking. When the entrance to the site was blasted open, the centipede was engulfed in the explosion. The three survivors climbed out alive, but the terror was far from over. Emerging from the smoldering ruins, the Giant Centipede attacked. It grasped two rescuers, dragging them into the darkness before an electrical lamp was dropped onto its head.
The beast was forced under the ground, tunneling through the soft soil. When it emerged, gunshots bounced off its hard exoskeleton with no affect. Screaming in rage, the insect was lured onto a truckload of high explosives and then obliterated, blown to pieces by a colossal fireball.
