History: In order to create a new biological weapon that could turn the tides of any battle in favor of the United States, alien DNA was utilized. The alien DNA was highly unstable and could mutate whatever it was injected into. Onboard a top secret shuttle, the alien DNA was injected into a spider. Project Mother In Law had begun, but the craft was suddenly hit by a powerful solar flare. In the resulting chaos, the spider broke free and the shuttle returned to Earth, crashing in the desert. The spider was accidentally crushed, but not before laying an egg in the sole survivor. Watching from a distance, a group of teenagers watched the man be carted off, vowing to rescue him from the hands of the government that wanted to cover everything up.
Marci Eyre, Slick, and Jake snuck into the base and found the wounded astronaut, but he was now crazed and spewing warnings about Mother In Law. An eerie noise came from his body before a massive spider emerged from his mouth, leaping at the nurses whom rushed into the room. One was killed by its toxic venom while the teens escaped. The spider continued to track down the other nurse before returning to attack the hiding youngsters. Luckily for them, they hid in a closet where the arachnid couldn't reach, but the eight-legged mutation made a nest in the staircase.
While trying to find an escape, they came across its nest. The arachnid attacked Jake, biting into his leg and injecting its deadly venom. Slick managed to pull the creature off and throw it down the stairs, but no sooner then it landed, it began to malt into its much bigger, adult form.
