History: Before he met his future fiancé, Paul Webster was horribly mangled in a devastating place crash. Luckily, those that survived the crash underwent an experimental regenerative series of tests involving alligator cells. Those that were horribly wounded by the crash returned to their normal lives and Mr. Webster sought a happy life once meeting Joyce. However, on the night of their wedding, Paul received a phone call informing him of the reptilian transformations the others had underwent! To prevent his love from finding out about his horrific fate, Paul returned to his home in the bayou. Soon after, his body began to change.
While Dr. Sinclair and his mother tried to reverse the conditions on the many patients, Joyce tracked down the address from old school documents. His mother denied any relation or knowledge to him, but it all came to the light eventually. After he rescued his wife from local alligator hunter Mannon, Joyce was told everything. Determined to regain his former appearance, Paul forced Dr. Sinclar to agree to test a new cobalt bomb on him. It was hoped the immense blast of radiation and gamma rays would reverse the transformation, but Mannon interfered!
The one-armed man destroyed the controls and caused further mutation in the man’s body. His mouth elongated into an alligator’s snout, terrifying all those that seen him. Mannon lashed out with his hooked hand, but the metal object struck the hanging cables and electrocuted him. With his wife following behind, Paul fled into the swamps as the entire building exploded! After fending off an alligator attack, he continued to flee until stumbling into quicksand. As Joyce watched on in horror, he vanished into the muck.
