History: Discovered in South Africa, the fossilized remains of a gigantic, crocodile-like dinosaur took the scientific community by storm. Not only was it one of the biggest, new species of dinosaurs, but what remained of its DNA contained a unique hormone that allowed it, and other organisms, to reach maturity in just a few weeks! Hoping to capitalize on this, the Gereco Corporation bought the remains and extracted the hormones, using it on farm animals. However, the true source of their hormone farming came from two clones of the ancient Dinocroc created in secret.
As the two subjects grew in size, so did their aggressiveness. In an angry fight, one of the reptilians killed its brother and escaped, killing a researcher in the process. Now thriving within Grant’s Lake, the prehistoric monstrosity claimed the entire area as its own. The corporation hoped to recapture the monster, but it had reached full size by the following night! Bringing in a crocodile hunter from Australia, they couldn’t foresee the terror the Dinocroc was about to unleash.
The beast killed anyone it came across, from hunters to tourists; all the while the small group tracked it. After it attacked the lake’s recreational area, it turned its sight on those chasing it, attacking and killing Dr. Campbell. After Tom discovered the beast had also slaughtered his younger brother, the hunt for the dinosaur became personal. That same night, it attacked and killed five deputies that were in search for it.
A plan was soon set underway. The monster was led to shore by Tom and Diane and trapped inside a tunnel that was pumped full of carbon monoxide. Unable to breathe, the Dinocroc was rendered unconscious. Thinking it was dead, the local authorities let it up to Gereco to clean up, but the beast suddenly awoke! Grasping the CEO of Gereco in its jaws, the creature devoured its creator. Emerging from the smoky tunnel, the reptile chased after Tom and Diane.
As they fled across the nearby tracks, a train smashed into the side of the predator! Severely wounded and near death, the Dinocroc struggled as Tom approached, pole in hand. He speared the pole into the reptile’s eye, seemingly killing it! As Tom and Diane walked away and sunset approached, the beast recovered once more. Following the roads, Dinocroc began its hunt for food once again.
