History: After a third world war almost destroyed all humanity, the very thought of war was banished from every country, but even this couldn’t end future feuds. As countries seaked out the land of others, a new form of battle was devised: the Robot Jox battles. Piloted by the best of the best of the two major world powers, the biggest battle on Earth would be fought over Alaska and take place in the Death Valley arena.
It was the match of the century as Achilles, the United States’ best pilot, took on the confederations Alexander. The Matsumoto 14 and the Vassilyev 42 fought on, but once the American machine fired its green laser, it became apparent there was a traitor in the midst of the American crew. The Russian machine easily blocked the attack, making the refs banish all ranged weapons.
The two stood their ground, but the Vassilyev 42’s fist launched from its arm after the mech was knocked to the ground. Achilles piloted the Matsumoto to defend the bleachers from the attack, but the strength of the attack made the machine fall back. Hundreds died at the hands of Alexander, but the battle would be determined a draw and a rematch would quickly be set up.
In the coming days, Achilles would retire and come out of retirement, quickly forming a feud with Athena, a pilot who was chosen to take his place. Once the day of battle arrived, Athena stole the Matsumoto and rushed into battle against the upgraded Vassilyev 42. Athena managed to use the newly installed blinder against Alexander, but wasn’t able to defeat the Germany warrior.
The Vassilyev tackled the robot to the ground and began to beat the machine until its arm was removed. After the arm fell to the ground, the Confederation’s weapon began to use its other arm and soon knocked Athena unconscious. Alexander was deemed winner, but he refused to stop once seeing Achilles wasn’t in control.
After smashing the ref’s hovercraft, the victory was revoked from Alexander and given to the United States, only further increasing Alexander’s rage until Achilles arrived and took control of the Matsumoto. The two took to the sky for an aerial dog fight, a fight that Alexander would win with a powerful missile. The two fell back to Earth, but now forced to go into tank mode; the Matsumoto was at a severe disadvantage. With little trouble, the Vassilyev managed to flip the machine over and start sawing into the cockpit, barely allowing Achilles to escape.
