History: In an attempt to cure a highly deadly virus, Delta 5, a group of scientists began to experiment with various means to create a cure in an isolated laboratory on an uninhabited planet. Test after test was a failure, but at last they succeeded, or so they thought. What they created was a virus given life, an ever-mutating monstrosity needing fresh blood to grow. When she realized what they had created, one of the scientists sent out a distress signal against the wishes of the rest. Answering the call, Captain Krieger and his robot Tinpan arrived, but everything seemed to be going fine.
However, the small egg-like creation burst from its containment and into the mouth of one of the scientists. She quickly collapsed and the others immediately took her into surgery, but the short amount of time was all the mutation needed. It ripped out of her body and vanished into the air vents. There, it hunted for prey until being locked inside. Its isolation allowed it to rapidly evolve and grow, becoming much larger than a man! After a confrontation with Captain Krieger, it broke through the wall and into the toxic wasteland outside.
Knowing it would eventually return, Krieger adorned a protective suit and hunted it with his robot pal. The beast was vicious, knocking the man off a small cliff and wounding him. When one of the scientists inside ventured outside to retrieve the brave captain, she and Tinpan were attacked. Krieger made it back inside, and soon did the monster! It made a lair in the command station, but the brilliant minds devised a way to defeat it. Using the blood of one of their own infected with the Delta 5 virus, they managed to inject the disease into the monstrous killer. The abomination went mad and rammed itself through airlocks before collapsing, seemingly dead.
However, with just Krieger and one of the scientists left alive, two smaller monsters emerged from its carcass! They attacked the surviving pair, but both were quickly slain, not given the opportunity to evolve like its parent. Gathering up the remains of Tinpan, Krieger was able to repair his robotic comrade as they left the desolate world and the remains of the deadly creature behind.
